I could not reproduce this bug based on the number of files. However,
the arithmetic overflow problem reported in vm.info arises if there are
very long file names. That was most likely the problem. I have
commited a fix for this now.

Bug description:
when i do 'attach file' (from the mouse popup menu) AND my login directory has
like 500 files, i receive an 'arith overflow' (or is it 'arith error' ?) error,
within the 'vm-show-list' function. error went away when i reduced my login
dir to less than 300 files.
