Eli, I could not reproduce this error. From the backtrace, it seems
that the problem you are getting is from an "advice" (dynamic patch) to
vm-fill-paragraph-containing-long-lines. This is most likely from vm-
rfaddons which I am not taking responsibility for.
So, can you remove whatever advice you have added for the filling
function, and see if you still get the problem?

occasionally I am getting this error when reading messages in vm. this happens
consistently for some specific messages but not others. I am attaching a
