okay, I partially agree with you.

How about if we got a few wireless MICs, and rather than have a MIC
lineup, we all used the same "raise-hand-go-into-queue" system in person
as for remote people.  The chair gets to then manage a single queue of
physical and virtual people, with the next 2-3 people in the queue
marked (and on the projector screen), so they would know to acquire a MIC.
