David is correct with the latest (last?) release of GDDM, it can produce
GIF as well as CGM output files. If the plot types and quality (fonts,
colors, etc.) that ADMCHART or the other PGF GDDM facilities can produce
is acceptable, then this would be the way to go, imho. The PGF charting
calls can even be driven from Rexx, making automatic plot creation a snap.

Also check out the Online Presentation System (OPS) component of GDDM.
It can be driven by a command file and offers some enhancements that
ADMCHART lacks.
