When the spool gets full, yes, CP will still set the device NOT-READY and the affected spool files are closed in SYSTEM HOLD. After freeing space, I get a list of all SYSTEM HOLD console files (e.g. with URLIST) and then issue "CP SEND CP uid SP CON START" Kris, IBM Belgium, VM customer support
