Blocking IP address

Our security has been doing probes of the network.
This seems to be a very intrusive scan and has caused an
outage once.  So I am in the process of trying to block
these IP address.  So is the BLOCK key word in the TCPIP
profile the best way to do this?
Is this the correct format?

BLOCK
        xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
        xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
