While working with a customer, we encountered a situation where we needed PerfKit to read a set of input files that are larger than the largest minidisk they can create with their hardware (they don't want to do SFS because they have no tools capable of managing it, and they have no CMS users). The tape input routines for PerfKit don't seem to tolerate SL tapes, and the report generator does not use OS sim, so FILEDEF ( CONCAT doesn't work. We found a way around the problem with clever exclusion files and some summary file hacking, but it seems like a step back from PRF (which did OS sim, so you could have arbitrarily large inputs).
Has anyone else encountered this situation? Should I write a requirement to add OS sim support to PerfKit?
