We are in the process of moving our linux/390 workload from a machine without an IFL to one with an IFL. We are currently running the LINUX instances under Z/VM. When we move the Z/VM to the IFL LPAR, what parts of Z/VM will run on the IFL? Specifically, will the IFL allow HMF or RTM to run on the IFL? If not, what are folks using to monitor and automate Linux virtual machines running under Z/VM on the IFL processor?
