Greetings, I’m back on the track to print through RSCS to an IP
printer again. I have defined my printer as non-postscript and am sending PCL
code via the PPS command to control typeface, point size, etc… Eventually
the PCL code will go in a forms file. My client wants the default typeface to be Courier, point
size 9 with specific margins. I have tried numerous times to change the “Primary
typeface family” through PCL but except for “Letter Gothic”
the output looks the same. Is there some sort of “magic”
combination to get it working (I have no problems with Word on this printer). Maybe
someone could help me either on-list or off-list? Would defining the printer as a postscript be better? I just
went through this process of getting French characters to print via PCL so I
don’t know if I’ll be back at square 1 if I go Postscript (and I
don’t know if all my clients printers support Postscript or only PCL). Thanks Mike Horlick CGI |
