Jan, What we do is create a second database that is the exact same size as the first one (same # mini disks, same size, etc). Then we bring up the second database and do a restore from the archive tape created by the first system. It works just fine and then you have an exact clone of your production system. The only tricky part is setting up your NEWDB SQLFDEF file. I just use the production one and then do a global change for the production user id to the test one.
