Dear Vikram,
are you running vmtk on Ubuntu 10.10??
What I suggest you is the following:
1. change directory and enter the one you want to work in
2. give the following command:
vmtk vmtkimagereader -f dicom -d 'dicom dir path' --pipe
vmtkimageviewer
where - of course - the dicom_dir_path is the path to the dir you have your
dicom in.
It should work. Let me know.
