 happy to see you onboard.
Unfortunately you stumbled upon a known bug with the 0.9 release. Hopefully we 
will be able to release a new one soon.

The quick and dirty workaround is the following: locate the 
vmtkcenterlinegeometry.py file in /usr/share/pyshared/vmtk/
 
and add the following lines to it: 

centerlineGeometry.SetLengthArrayName('Length')
centerlineGeometry.SetTortuosityArrayName('Tortuosity')

Save the file and it should work.
