I am trying to understand the the difference between the center-line and
network extraction algorithms.
I have read the Ph.D thesis of Luca Antiga (
http://www.orobix.com/luca/AntigaPhDThesis.pdf) and understood the details
of the center-line algorithm, which is based on a Voronoi diagram (chapter
5).
I would like to ask:
- Does the network extraction code use the algorithm described in
chapter 3 of the thesis: 'Topological analysis of vascular structures' ?
- How accurate is the network extraction calculation compared to the
center-line one (especially around bifurcations) ?
