Hi all

This maybe off topic.

Platform NT4.0 Sp6a 128bit version. No strange applications loaded.
All Workstations run VNCsever as a service.
PCs are all Dell GX series from 500mhz to 1.7Ghz Minimum RAM 128 Max 256.

Since this has been rolled out, we have had no problems until recently but
only on three PCs.

Problem: We have started using the password protected blank screen
screensaver to lock workstations if the user leaves their desk or in on the
phone etc. etc.etc. Three of 26 PCs won't retain the screen saver settings.
You set it up and it works for the day but the moment you either do a cold
boot or boot the next day, the screen saver reverts to "none".

If we need to access the PC, the user sets the Screensaver to "none" so
there are no porblems with VNC.

I don't think this has anything to do with VNC, but VNC was the last loaded
utility. I want to migrate to TightVNC soon, and would like to eliminate VNC
first.

Any ideas anyone.

Kind regards
Eric

BTW - GREAT JOB ON THE NEW LIST - Without it many of us would be totally
lost (especially me!)
