Thanks, that seems to work, but now when I run VNC I get the black screen
with cursor. It moves for a second then stops and seems to hang. What could
that be!

If you use the -broadcast option, you did not follow the site... Try '-query
localhost' or '-query fred' or '-query wilma'.

The -broadcast, -query and -indirect options are for the xdmcp protocol.
This protocol says something like: 'Who would like to provide a loggin
session at this X display?'
