I'm no genius when it comes to TightVNC, but I would suspect a permission
problem on the registry key if it's a secure OS. (NT, 2K, XP, Linux if it
had a reg. but it could be a file permission) You might want to check to
see
if it is actually changing the value of the Password Key.

Subject: TightVNC password changes!
I've been running TightVNC for a long time. Recently I've been locked
out of logging onto the remote machine due to a bad password. I dont'
know how the password would have changed. when I go to the machine
physically and bring up the user options I see a password with 2 extra
stars. If I reset the password righ there and then close the wondow --
then open it back up....the password has reset. The only way to fix this
isi to re-install TightVNC. Has anyone seen this happen? Could this be
someone brute forcing the password?
Christian
