Simply put, is there any way to disable the remote screen display and just
send back mouse and keystrokes?

I've got a TV-out card connected to a RF transmitter which beams my computer
screen to the TV in the living room. I use VNC on my laptop in the living
room to control the server PC via local LAN. However, since the display is
on the TV with no lag time, I'd like to eliminate the lag time for
controlling the server pc via VNC by disabling the display on the remote
screen. (I'm not looking at the laptop anyway - I'm looking at the TV
screen).

Any ideas?
