Linux or Mac?

You should realise I wrote the only known stable MacOS 7/8/9 VNC
server, which also happens to work on 68K.

OSXVNC seems to have disappeared off the face of the planet, but
worked well (if rather basic) when it was there.

VNCThing, although not perfect, works well under MacOS 8.6/9.x/X.

I don't see any fundamental reason why Xvnc and vncviewer shouldn't
work under Linux/PPC. I don't think I tried it lately, but if Sparc
works well enough (the other dominant big-endian arch), that should
be the main things taken care of.
