This can be due to several reasons: - no proper server configuration (forgotten password) - bad password (see below) - bad combination of encodings (if you somehow configure them) For bad passwords, I recal reports in the list that if a M$Win machine has no-one logged in, then the vnc-password for the administrator must be used. Once a user is logged in, then the vncpassword for that user must be used.
