... You're lucky I don't like football however the Koreans should have won... > I have circling represents a program on the host PC, > these at the client not represented unfortunately ground, > all other things, yes. There are 2 major reasons why vnc does not show some things: Lot's of fast moving graphics (like tv or dvd displays) use some direct to the video method. These pictures don't touch the video memory. Since vnc only reads this video memory and cannot access the direct video stream, it does not know about the direct video and shows what's in memory (mostly a black square). An other reason why vnc is not showing everything is in the settings. For M$Windows platforms: open the vncserver properties and check or uncheck the fields in 'UpdateHandling'. Just see what happens and whih settings work for you. The more you poll, the more the server has to do and the more data is send to the viewers. > greeting of Chris. > PS: ich use Windows. For Xvnc on unix, the first reason does not hold since it does not take over a video-board view. The second reason does not hold since it is the window manager and hence does not have to poll as it does everything self. For Xvnc incorporated in XFree4 (http://xf4vnc.sourceforge.net/) the first might hold, who can tell more?
