Your problem illustrates:
- You're new to Xvnc
- unix (linux) machine runs vncserver
- M$Windows machine runs vncviewer
(no hard feelings)

It's no problem, it's the default vnc design for vncserver on unix. You can
get more vncserver sessions on the same unix machine without any problem
(except hardware limitations like memory and performance) See
http://www.sourcecodecorner.com/articles/vnc/linux.asp .

I bet you expect to take over the console. You can with the setup as on
http://xf4vnc.sourceforge.net/ . (However, is it for unix or linux, you
don't need to. Lot's of unix servers run 'headless')
