Hi,

I have installed WinVNC on a NT machine. It has an IP
address and accessible from the Internet. A web server
runs on it and I am able to load pages from it from my
browser. Now I want to access it over the internet
through VNC. My organizational firewall blocks inbound
access to certain ports but all outgoing access in all
ports is allowed.

The NT machine does not restrict any inbound or
outbound ports from my firewalled network. All are
open. (accessible only from my firewalled network)

I am inside a firewalled network allowing only
outbound access and blocking majority of incoming
ports.

I wish to know what are the specific ports which I
should have open, to allow me to access the NT machine
from my VNCviewer? (Apart from 5800)

In the FAQ, it mentions 5900 and 5800. Is these 2
ports opened enough?

Has anybody been in a situation like this before? How
did u solve it.

ANy help greatly appreciated..

/lma
