There is an upcoming release of WinVNC in the pipeline which addresses,
amongst other things, the Win9x resource leak issue, thus preventing
these kinds of crashes. This is part of an ongoing effort to provide
future development and support of VNC.

The standard VNC release can be made to request confirmation from the
user for incoming connections, although it must be configured via the
registry.

Cheers,
