As Solaris is telling you, the xrdb program is unable to open the file 
".Xresources" in your home directory.  This file is ordinarily there.  You 
should be able to find a generic one which you can copy into your directory, 
either in /usr/X11, /etc/X11, /usr/openwin, or /usr/dt, depending on the 
Solaris version.
