Heya. So when you try to connect to the VNC server
from inside the firewall, what IP address are you using? Your
post reads as if you were trying to connect to the same IP
address that you use when connecting from home -- that won't
work. When on the same LAN, you need to use the LAN IP address
(eg, 192.168.x.y), not the "real world" IP address that the
firewall is mapping.
As for "one application" that combines EsVNC and
ZeBeDee...have you given Kaboodle a try? www.Kaboodle.org.
I've also been waiting for 3 years for it to be done. :)
If it's not the easiest way to both securify a VNC connection
with an encrypted tunnel *and* do secure file transfers...
I'll eat a bug. :)
