I think it added about 100k to the size of the server and very little to
the size of the viewer. My statement was more for lets not cripple some
versions with incompatibility. 
I really like the pluggin suggestion.

If so, then I certainly hope the unix version can be optionally built
without file transfer cruft, since the lightweightness of VNC is
one of it's charms.  If the minimal size of the normal clients/servers
are increased much, it's a Bad Thing.

Or put it this way.  I 'druther the file transfer stuff be packaged
into separate executable images on unix (at the very least).
