You would think so, but that is exactly what I went through, and that is how I solved the problem. I didn't used to set both passwords, either, but when I upgraded to TridiaVNC from the original VNC distribution the problem appeared, and stayed there even with TightVNC. Setting both passwords solved the problem. I don't think I tried going back to the original distribution to see if the problem went away, though, maybe I did, but I just don't remember at this point. :-) -- Chris Dillon - cdillon(at)wolves.k12.mo.us FreeBSD: The fastest and most stable server OS on the planet - Available for IA32 (Intel x86) and Alpha architectures - IA64, PowerPC, UltraSPARC, ARM, and S/390 under development - http://www.freebsd.org No trees were harmed in the composition of this message, although some electrons were mildly inconvenienced. _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list
