You would think so, but that is exactly what I went through, and that
is how I solved the problem.  I didn't used to set both passwords,
either, but when I upgraded to TridiaVNC from the original VNC
distribution the problem appeared, and stayed there even with
TightVNC.  Setting both passwords solved the problem.  I don't think I
tried going back to the original distribution to see if the problem
went away, though, maybe I did, but I just don't remember at this
point. :-)
