I have VNC server (3.3.3r9) running on a WinNT 4.0 SP5 box, and I connect
to it from a Win2K box running the same version of VNC Viewer.

All works well *except* when I run any NetWare DOS utilities (I've tried
SysCon and RConsole from NW 3.12 and 4.11) in a CMD prompt window on the
NT4 box. They mostly work except that the very-important cursor keys don't.
If I press [up-arrow] in VNC Viewer, with RConsole showing the server's
console, RConsole displays "8", almost as if I pressed the keypad [8] with
NumLock off. Yet I'm not pressing keypad [8] (and anyway, NumLock is on).
This makes it impossible to access some of the functionality of these
utilities since their menus require the cursor keys for full access.

Yet the problem doesn't existing connecting to VNC server running on a
Win95 box; in this case the arrow keys work as expected in the NetWare
utilities (running in a DOS box).

Someone posted this issue a couple years back there was no reply. Anyone
now have any idea why this doesn't work, and better yet, how to fix it?

Thanks,

John
