Hi

I installed VNC as a service on 4 PCs yesterday - and have had a few
problems with it.

As our PCs are configured to accept different settings for each user who
logs on, VNC requests you to put in a new password each time the PC boots.
Most of my users, on seeing an unusual screen, will close it without a
second thought.

Therefore the password is not set, the service does not start, and I cannot
log onto their PCs to see what they are doing when they have problems.

The main reasons my department wanted to use VNC were so that I could a)
remotely view the user's PCs when they call with problems, and b) remotely
install new software without having to move around the entire building to
catch everyone.

Is there any way to a) set the password to default, no matter who logs on,
and b) set this all to run automatically without the user needing to even
see the VNC screen?

Given that my users are known to close anything they don't recognise, it
seems that VNC isn't going to be much help unless I can get these problems
resolved.

I could really do with some help here!

Many thanks
