Hi I think I got this problem when I though inetd was launching Xvnc but actually not because of a configuration problem (like your Home env ...). Check and correct your inetd.conf or so. Marc

When I telnet to the vnc port, I receive the message "vncserver: The HOME environment variable is not set." If I manually start the vncserver, I can connect without any problems???
