Hello,

I'm new to the list, and would like to celebrate my arrival by waving my
arms in the air and screaming "HELP!"

Today I got VNC 3.3.4 server and client to compile on my SGI. It was a
little bumpy getting there, but I got there. (I'll gladly provide
assistance to anyone needing help with the same task, just email me) I
also got a matching 3.3.4 client binary for win32.

However, when I start a server on the SGI and connect to it via the win32
client, it chooses ZRLE encoding, and the blue channel doesn't show up,
making everything appear yellowish. If I flop the pixelformat the red
channel doesn't show up, making everything appear cyan-ish and proving
that my monitor is in good working order. =) If I restart the server
with -depth 16 the colours are correct (but there aren't enough of them,
so it looks bad)

Hextile, RRE, etc. all look correct. ZRLE at forced 8bpp also looks
correct. (my current workaround: force Hextile, works swimmingly)

Getting stranger, the SGI vncviewer displays the server output correctly
100% of the time, no matter the encoding or bit depth.

I'll assume that my server/viewer aren't doing ZRLE correctly, but are
screwing it up in the same way; end result being they can talk to each
other OK, but not to others. I've looked at the code for this, but the
answer didn't exactly jump out of the screen at me. Can someone who's
played with this offer me a pointer or five??
