Andy, thanks for the news on an RPM for the next version. Even just including a .spec file (like they do with Leafnode for example), that way you are still only distributing one source tarball, but RPMs can be built easily.
When messing around with Redhat's RPM I see they apply a patch against VNC (they base theirs on TightVNC) to remove the F8 key for the popup window with a note of "doesn't work?". I checked RealVNC 3.3.4 on RH 7.3 and sure enough, unless I start the vncviewer with the -fullscreen switch the F8 key doesn't bring up a popup window. I just tried while using Blackbox instead of Gnome and F8 seems to work ok. Should I try to assign the popup to another key or is there a better way? I assume that Gnome is grabbing the F8 key and not passing it. -- William Hooper Make it idiot-proof and someone will make a better idiot _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list
