Hey David, long time no see. Does the Java version of the viewer work?

Also, I think I've had issues using the Standard VGA driver. If possible
try the actual video driver for the card.

Subject: And Nothing Happens

All,

Thanks for reading - I'm running VNC as service on a Win2000 server.

When I use the VNC viewer to connect to the machine in question, it prompts
for the password. I type in the password, click ok, the password box goes
away and "nothing happens". I was running 3.3.3r9 and upgraded to 3.3.4 in
an attempt to resolve this odd problem. When I was running 3.3.3r9 the
error message - Connection Closed. With 3.3.4 service and 3.3.4 viewer,
there is no error message on the machine running the client or the machine
running the service. I've un-installed VNC, removed all registry entries
and re-installed and the service with the same error. I'm connecting from
another (multiple) computer(s) on the LAN within the same subnet (no
firewall between them). The service is set to allow interact with desktop.
Running Standard VGA 800x600 - 16 colors (change the client machine to the
same). No screen saver for any users. The console is not locked. If I log
in on the server as a different user or don't log in at all I have the same
result. If I type!
in the wrong password in the viewer when prompted, I get the error message
VNC Authentication Failed (which is correct).

Any ideas?
