It is a little known fact that WinNT 4.0 (and I believe 3.5) is available on multiple platforms. The "Supporting Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Core Technologies" binder I have lists the minimum hardware requirements for WinNT Workstation as: "A computer with a 486DX/33, MIPS R4400-based, Digital Alpha AXP-based, or PReP-compliant PowerPC-based microprocessor" I'm pretty sure support for everything but x86 and Alpha was dropped after Service Pack 3, and Alpha after Service Pack 5. Microsoft made the decision to make Win2k x86 (and later Intel's 64-bit processors) only pretty late in development, making a number of people angry about not being able to use it on Alpha machines, and possibly contributing to the Alpha's demise. -- William Hooper _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list
