We just started using VNC few days ago. It works well in the LAN environment. But, we ran into a problem when using it in a WAN environment. The following is our configuration:
VNC client (Win XP) ------- ADSL to Interent -------- ((( Internet Cloud))) --------Wireless CDMA 1XRTT to Internet ... VNC Server (Win98 SE) When using a Java-capable browser (IE6) point to http://ipaddress:5800 (display 0), we get back a "The page cannot be displayed" page. - Ping to the VNC server is fine. There is delay - average 300msec return trip - Telnet to VNC server port 5900 does not work. Connection rejected. - VNC client work fine when it try to connect to another VNC server on our LAN. There must be configuration issues at the VNC server (java client support is already enabled in the server). But, I am not sure what to check next. Your help on this is much appreciated. Thanks in advance. Ed. Ho ================= _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list
