VNC-eristas... Here's my latest dilemma...
I spent time last night pouring through the many archived posts regarding seeing a black screen after successfully logging on to the machine via VNC when using XP with the multiple profiles enabled. My problem is the typical one I saw - vnc logs on perfectly, but then the black screen is all you see. If you stay in one profile (namely the one under which VNC is running evidenced by the icon in the tray) then VNC works fine. As soon as you switch or log off, VNC shows the black screen. Its not the screen saver... I learned a possible "why" (it seems XP blanks the video for any non-active profile) but didn't seem to find or comprehend the "how" regarding fixing this. I tried reinstalling VNC from the admin account, that did not work... I tried to install VNC separately for each profile, that doesn't work... Has anyone resolved this?
