Hello and thank you for reading this post.

I have just set up realVNC viewer on my Windows 2000 Pro PC in order to
remote to a newly installed RH Linux 8.0 workstation using the KDE desktop.
I have everything working except when I open up a console session (using
Konsole) to get a command line prompt.

When I open the console window, the fonts display OK (i.e they are readable)
but there appears to be extra spaces added between letters and there seems
to be no carriage return at the end of each line. As a result, the text
displayed is difficult to follow and read.

I don't have this problem when I work at the RH8 machine itself. I am
running VNC 3.3.4 on both the Windows box and the Linux machine.

If you have any ideas how I can fix this, please let me know. I'd
appreciate any and all assistance.

Kind regards,

jr
