VNC and Linux

Hello,

The last time I installed VNC on Linux, I wasn't able to launch the X server when I reboot the machine.
I read an article on this subject which is saying that it's "Aurora" (graphical boot interface of Linux) which is blocked because VNC is asking for a password.
So before running "vnc-server" I want to know what should I do in order that Aurora doesn't block itself?
