I'm using WinVNC 3.3.3 R9 between two Windows 2000 PCs over the
internet. PC A is connected to the internet by a cable modem with two to 5
PCs on a hub sharing the cable modem. PC B is connected to the internet
through a LinkSys router to an ADSL circuit. The LinkSys router is
configured (Forwarding option) to pass port 5900-5910 traffic to PC B which
is one of 5 PCs connected to the LinkSys Router. It is also configured
(DMZ option) to pass all incoming IP calls to PC B. ArgoSoft FTP calls
from PC A to PC B work just fine.
I am able to take over PC A from PC B but not PC B from PC A. PC B is
running a fairly CPU intensive application. Is it possible that there is
some kind of timeout happening? Whenever I try to get to PC B from PC A
with VNC Viewer, I get (after a 20s or so delay) a pop up window saying
"Failed to connect to server". If so, where can I set this timeout to a
larger value?
