In the last few weeks I have lost the ability to VNC to my home system.
I've notice I can no longer ping or traceroute to it either. I suspect that
my cable ISP (Adelphia) is blocking ICMP now, although they swear they
aren't. I didn't realize that VNC was dependent on ICMP.
More likely, your IP address has changed.  Make sure.
