I'm currently running the 'default' vnc session as a non-root
user. However, I often find that I need root access in the GUI tools,
which the non-root user doesn't have. I'm using the
/etc/sysconfig/vncservers file to indicate which user vncserver should
use at vncservice startup. I've placed root there, but each time it
fails with an environment variable failure ($env{user}). Anyone know
how this can be done?

Thanks,

b.
