This   works only if you are running Win NT/2K/XP and you must have it
installed  as  a  service,  and  be  logged  in with the required user
rights.

1) goto Start | Run and type CMD
2) at the command prompt type: net stop "VNC Server"
3) then type: net start "VNC Server"

That  will  disable the VNC Icon. You should also remove the short cut
to run the service helper as this is what displays the icon.
