OK... I'm frustrated. I will send whoever helps me solve this problem
a nice, crisp, real $20 (US) bill to whoever gives me the tip that
leads to solving my problem. It isn't much, but it does acknowledge my
appreciation for solving this problem.
I have had an ongoing problem for months now and I am now really
trying to deal with it.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
When I use ctrl+Left or ctrl+Right mouse buttons on vncviewer, both
running on my Solaris 5.8 workstation, The ctrl+mouse button is
ignored.
I TRIED xkeycaps to see what buttons are being used, and no matter
what keyboard type I use (using a Sun 5C type keyboard), the buttons
on the xkeycaps do not align at all. But the regular
alpha/num/symb/ctrl buttons pass through to the xterms on the viewer
just fine.
xkeycaps seems useless at this point.
Some details:
I am using fvwm2
These mouse/ctrl combinations work FINE when on the actual workstation
with the same window manager running, same config.
These mouse/ctrl combinations work FINE on a PC-based vncviewer
connecting to the aforementioned vncviewer host.
I tried other versions of VNC, including tightVNC (both server and
viewer): SAME PROBLEM.
I am really frustrated.
I'm very grateful for any advice.
Thanks
-Andrew
