Thank you for your suggestions but is it possible to "Disable local keyboard and pointer" from the viewer so teachers have the option to view, interact or LOCK users?
Any suggestions Steve Audus Message: 1 From: "Steve Audus, Network Manager, Chaucer School" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Lock out a user? Date: Mon, 2 Dec 2002 13:49:45 -0000 Dear all, I have just started using Real VNC, I am loving it. I am expecting to gain 100 pounds because I will never have to move from my seat again. Anyway, I was wondering if it is possible to configure the VNC viewer so when I connect to a users computer it locks the PC so only I can move the mouse, or type on the keyboard and not the user. This would be very useful for stopping a child from using the pc while you speak to them? Any suggestions? Reply-to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Set the flag "Disable local keyboard and pointer". As long as the viewer is open, they are locked out. > Dear all, > > I have just started using Real VNC, I am loving it. > > I am expecting to gain 100 pounds because I will never have to move from my > seat again. > > Anyway, I was wondering if it is possible to configure the VNC viewer > so when I connect to a users computer it locks the PC > so only I can move the mouse, or type on the keyboard and not the user. > > This would be very useful for stopping a child from using the pc > while you speak to them? > > Any suggestions? > > > Steve Audus > Chaucer School > Sheffield UK > --- > Outgoing mail is checked by Chaucer Community School. > Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). > Version: 6.0.423 / Virus Database: 238 - Release Date: 25/11/02 > _______________________________________________ > VNC-List mailing list > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list --__--__-- Message: 3 From: "William Hooper" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: RE: Lock out a user? I assume you are using a flavor of Windows, so look at the "Disable Local Keyboard & Pointer" setting: http://www.realvnc.com/winvnc.html#10 -- William Hooper --- Outgoing mail is checked by Chaucer Community School.
