Thank you for your suggestions but is it possible to
"Disable local keyboard and pointer" from the viewer
so teachers have the option to view, interact or LOCK users?

Any suggestions

Subject: Lock out a user?

Dear all,

I have just started using Real VNC, I am loving it.

I am expecting to gain 100 pounds because I will never have to move from my
seat again.

Anyway, I was wondering if it is possible to configure the VNC viewer
so when I connect to a users computer it locks the PC
so only I can move the mouse, or type on the keyboard and not the user.

This would be very useful for stopping a child from using the pc
while you speak to them?

Any suggestions?

Set the flag "Disable local keyboard and pointer". As long as the viewer is
open, they are locked out.

It is possible, depending on what OS your server is running. I assume
you are using a flavor of Windows, so look at the "Disable Local
Keyboard & Pointer" setting:
