Hey all,
I just set up Linux ( RedHat 7.3 ) on an old Compaq Prosignia 500 server.

Let me tell you, that was NOT easy. I plan on making a website devoted to
my trials and tribulations to, hopefully, help others in the future. I'm
still kind of surprised that it's working.

Well, mostly working.

The bash shell is working great (and, as I intended to become more familiar
with Linux through this, that's honkey-dorey). X, though, doesn't- I get a
"System Lacks Support for Changing MTRRs" in my config log and an
"addscreen/screeninit failed for driver 0" in the main screen - so I think
it's something to do with my configuration, or that my hardware sucks. So,
keeping this in mind...

Would it be possible to start X-Windows from the VNC viewer, using the
hardware on the viewer machine? Or does the viewier simply show what's
being shown on the server? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

-Michael
