So ignore them and always use :0. 2) having understood that, your next question is then "How do I access PC x from the inter?". And the answer is: it's not easy to do! The are several ways to do this: The easy way: Open a vnc window on CIty X PC, then on CITY X PC, open a vnc to PC n! This works, and you can use it this way till you get the next one working! The real way: You need to setup a service on you City Pc's to redirect vnc connections to the internal PC's... While you are doing this you should also add encryption to your vnc connections (to avoid other people looking at what you are doing!), and lastly you need to guard against "Man-in-The-Middle" attacks... Sounds all very complicated? It's not really that bad... Again there is 2 ways to go: Join the 2 networks into one with a VPN, then all machines can ping each other, and you can share windows files, printers etc... This is done via VPN setup... This sends alot of data through the internet so you need pretty ggod internet connections at both ends! The second method is to secure just VNC connections using ssh server, or ZeBeDe. I personally have never used the ZeBeDe stuff, but have done quite a bit with the ssh software...
