Bob,

I just went to RegEdit and did a FIND on "AuthHosts" and came up Empty.

Where is "AuthHosts" supposed to be, or do I need to add it?

Could someone post an image of what it looks like please?

You have to add the key manually. Make sure only SYSTEM and Administrators have permission to change it:

Key: HKLM\SOFTWARE\ORL\WinVNC3\
Value: AuthHosts
Type: REG_SZ

My INTENT is to restrict access to my LOCAL LAN by putting in "+192.168.0"
This should prevent anyone from coming in through the DSL NIC and trying to
logon. Or is there a better way of protecting my Dual Homed (local LAN and
DSL) PC?
In this case the value should be:

-:+192.168.0

Note that this will NOT prevent connection attempts coming through your external interface with a spoofed source IP address in your local subnet range of 192.168.0.0/24. The only way to prevent such connections is to implement SSH tunneling of the VNC connection. There's an FAQ for that at http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/sshvnc.html , and as I have that configuration implemented at my site I am happy to offer some further advice if needs be.
