Corni also helped me to realize that the problem I was having running
vncserver :10 was caused by a conflict with port 6010.  It's hard for me
to say for certain on my system, but I believe port 6010 is being used by
ssh port forwarding (sshdfwd-X11).  Display :10 corresponds to port 6010
which is the first port used by sshdfwd-X11.
