I am able to do video with VNC. However, I did have the problem of a
pink screen for a video window at first. My VC system uses MotionJPEG.
When I switched to H.263 mode, VNC was able to display the video
properly. H.263 is part of the H.323 VC over IP. Bell Labs in NJ
developed a variously superior VC system using the MotionJPEG. 30 fps,
30 endpoints, cd quality sound ... no MCU! However, our video capture
card is $$$. I suggest you try a Winnov video capture card. It will do
H.263 and VNC can handle the image very nicely. If you are trying to do
video monitoring that way (using VNC) ... I would suggest you not ....
it is not going to be the best quality.
