hy everybody,

i'm using redhat 8 + gnome as a vncserver. follow what i did:

1) i installed the 3 packages:

vnc-server-3.3.3r2-39.i386.rpm
vnc-doc-3.3.3r2-39.i386.rpm
vnc-3.3.3r2-39.i386.rpm

on the same machine.

2) i started "vncserver" that require the password and edited the files
/root/.vnc/xstartup as follow

#!bin/bash
$HOME/.Xresources
exec gnome-session &

3) i killed the vncserver session and start a new one:

vncserver -kill :1
vncserver

now if i start vncviewer the only think i see is a grey screen with a "x"
pointer (an X session?)...

the question is: how can i edit the file in order to obtain a gnome desktop
when i connect with the client?

Thank you in advance...

Bye Attilio.
